Good evening, everyone. Tonight, I’d like us to think about what it means not simply to get through life, but to live the life God has given us with purpose.
Jesus tells us that He came so that we might have life, and have it abundantly. That doesn't mean a life without struggles. It means that even in the middle of those struggles, our roots can grow deeper, our faith can become stronger, and God can still use us.
So as we begin tonight, let's ask God to help us do more than survive. Let's ask Him to help us thrive.
Buenas noches a todos. Esta noche, quisiera que reflexionáramos sobre lo que significa no simplemente transcurrir por la vida, sino vivir con propósito la vida que Dios nos ha dado. Jesús nos dice que vino para que tengamos vida, y para que la tengamos en abundancia. Eso no significa una vida libre de dificultades. Significa que, aun en medio de esas luchas, nuestras raíces pueden profundizarse, nuestra fe puede fortalecerse y Dios puede seguir utilizándonos. Así que, al comenzar esta noche, pidamos a Dios que nos ayude a hacer más que sobrevivir; pidámosle que nos ayude a prosperar.

After Thrive → Nobody
Sometimes we think that before God can really use us, we need to have everything figured out. We need to be stronger, better, or somehow more worthy.
But that's not the story of Scripture. God has always worked through ordinary, imperfect people.
And maybe that's part of our purpose too. We don't have to make ourselves the center of the story. We simply have to point people toward Jesus.
As the next song says: I'm just a nobody trying to tell everybody about Somebody who saved my soul.
A veces pensamos que, para que Dios realmente nos utilice, necesitamos tenerlo todo resuelto. Creemos que debemos ser más fuertes, mejores o, de alguna manera, más dignos. Pero esa no es la historia que cuentan las Escrituras. Dios siempre ha obrado a través de personas comunes e imperfectas. Y tal vez eso también forme parte de nuestro propósito. No tenemos que convertirnos en el centro de la historia; simplemente debemos dirigir a las personas hacia Jesús. But there's another side to that.
The world gives us all kinds of labels. Sometimes we even give those labels to ourselves — based on our successes, our failures, our past, or what other people think of us. But none of those voices gets the final word.
The most important question isn't, "Who does the world say I am?"
It's "Who does God say I am?" And God says we are loved. We are chosen. We are forgiven. We belong to Him.|
Pero hay otra perspectiva al respecto. El mundo nos pone todo tipo de etiquetas. A veces, incluso nosotros mismos nos las imponemos, basándonos en nuestros éxitos, fracasos, nuestro pasado o en lo que los demás piensan de nosotros. Sin embargo, ninguna de esas voces tiene la última palabra. La pregunta más importante no es: «¿Quién dice el mundo que soy?». Es: «¿Quién dice Dios que soy?». Y Dios dice que somos amados. Que somos elegidos. Que somos perdonados. Que le pertenecemos.

But there's another side to that.

And when we really begin to understand that — when we realize who God is and what He has done for us — worship becomes more than just singing a song. It becomes our response.
So for this next song, don't worry about how you sound. Don't worry about who's standing next to you. Just make these words your prayer and give God the praise that is in your heart.

We've sung tonight about thriving in our faith, telling others about Jesus, knowing who we are in God's eyes, and giving Him our praise.
But underneath all of it is something we could never earn. Grace.
We don't have to be perfect enough. We don't have to somehow earn God's love. We simply receive the gift He has already given us.
Whatever you've carried into this room tonight — whatever worries, mistakes, doubts, or burdens you brought with you — remember this:
God's grace is enough.
Esta noche hemos cantado sobre prosperar en nuestra fe, hablar a otros de Jesús, saber quiénes somos ante los ojos de Dios y ofrecerle nuestra alabanza.
